As an artist, illustrator and designer I work across different art forms, both alone and with other artists.
Drawing is at the centre of my work. Many years of drawing practice have given me the joyful discipline of drawing what I see rather than what I assume. I work from what I see, I hear, I remember, I feel and I imagine. My art is about living things and the relationships between living things, about breath, pulse, rhythm, pulse and play. I collaborate with circumstances and merge my skills and sensibility with the immediacy of my embodied experience of the world.
I wholeheartedly recommend getting a small notebook and pencil for your pockets – drawing is free, fun, fundamental, there’s no right way to do it and so you can’t go wrong with your own mark making and drawing.
